The Jersey Boys and The Ladies Of Flight 6511
November 15th, 2009 by Nearly The Bionic Woman
This one is for the passengers of flight 6511 to La Guardia! You know who you are.
Yesterday, I spent more hours in the Jacksonville airport than I cared to if not for the amazing passengers also waiting to go to New York City, I could have been totally bored and discouraged. I met these three ladies that were in such good spirits in spite of the fact that they may miss seeing the Jersey Boys for which they already had tickets. I happened to be on my computer at the time and pulled up the website. If you go there, you too can play the various songs that I played on and off for the next few hours while dancing and trying to make the best of the situation. I felt really bad when I saw them on the phone canceling their tickets.
Others missed their shows that night thanks to tropical storm Ida that caused a lot of problems for a couple, if not few, days. One passenger exclaimed “…that b***h!”, when I told him we were delayed because of “her”. Yes sir, you know who you are too and I am so sorry that you got stuck in the windowless leg wrecker of a seat we like to call 20D!
I tried to make the best of the flight that finally left JAX at 4:45 despite it’s original time of 11:45am! We laughed and sang, danced and took pictures. Too the guy in 14b, you are a good sport and to the “cougar” in 17c (as said by another passenger, not me!) you are a hoot.
To all of the passengers on that flight, M and I say Thank You for helping us to make the best out of the situation! You all rock!
P.S. If one of my lovely three ladies is reading this, please let me know how to contact you because you may have left something on the plane and I saved it for you! ;D
